Antique Georgian Silk and woolwork Embroidery Picture of a family departing their cottage, deep in the countryside. The embroidery is worked in wool and silk on a silk ground, worked in a variety of stitches. Pictorial scene set in a lakeland country landscape. Depicts a mother carrying her child, a man following behind carrying a basket and barrel, their dog running ahead. Mountains and lakes in the background. Trees in the foreground. Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass. Mounted on board, the frame backed with wooden board and paper. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.

Condition:	Good. Good. A small tear in the lake. A few small holes. Wear to the edge on the top corners. No stitch losses. Neatly and evenly stretched. Frame has some wear, but is in overall good condition, ready to hang.
