Giordani was appointed Correspondent Academic by the Academy of Arts and Design in 1970. During his career, he also participates in numerous national and international competitions, among which the design proposals for the Bologna business center (with C. Aymonino and V. Parlato) obtain numerous awards, and the study for the use of area of the disused Manifattura Tabacchi of Bologna (with C. Aymonino). Among the public buildings built, we mention the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Ferrara and an elementary school built in Ravenna on the basis of a project drawn up in collaboration with L. Quaroni, P. Salmoni and C. Salmoni. As regards the residential buildings designed and built in the last period of his activity, we recall: the condominium building in Piazza Matteotti in Ascoli Piceno, drawn up with the collaboration of A. Tomassetti; the Modesti house in Porto dell'Isola del Giglio and the house of the artist Zauli in Faenza, in the province of Ravenna. -

Lorenzo Ciompi is a private collector with a wide experience in Italian design achieved starting from the beginning of the 90's. His collection includes famous items designed by Gio Ponti as well as other well-known Italian designers such as Ico Pairisi, Osvaldo Borsani, Carlo De Carli , Carlo Mollino, Melchiorre Bega, Joe Colombo. A lot of furniture items projected by these designers were published on important magazines such as AD, The World Interiors, Elle, Domus.
