"Young Beethoven" Porcelain Sculpture by Lladro Spain Beethoven At The The Piano
-
Description
Entitled "Young Beethoven", this was a limited edition hand painted porcelain made in February 1997 and retired in 2005; manufactured by the Lladro Porcelain Company in Spain. This is an earlier mold "press"; number 891 of only 2500 that were manufactured; signed on the bottom by the sculptor, Joan Coderch; and decorator Julio Ruiz (see image).
Guaranteed to be authentic and original, this piece has the appropriate markings on the underneath and is packed in the original box (which has some wear, see image). It is rarely found in this, just about mint condition with no mars, chips, or scratches, and definitely no restoration of any kind.
The piano is tan, Beethoven is wearing a light plum colored jacket and vest; black and white to the keyboard and sheet music; all on a greyish tan base. Also included is mahogany wooden stand made especially for this piece by Lladro.
Of note are the vulnerable delicate fingers completely intact, in addition to the quill pen, and protruding sheet music. Often they are chipped or lacking. These are all there with zero damage.
A statement of authenticity by Lladro accompanies the piece.
