Biography
Michel Lucotte (Born August 2, 1931 in Dijon, lives in Burgundy)
French painter, sculptor, writer, creator and poet.
Professor at the National School of Fine Arts in Dijon (1958-1961) and at the Municipal School of Fine Arts in Beaune (1951-1991).
Studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-arts de Dijon from 1946,
learns pottery, at the same time creating around a hundred fired and glazed clay pieces in a private studio in the town.
Visits to Vallauris, Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, La Borne.
Learns metalworking in a locksmith’s workshop in Dijon.
Teacher at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-arts de Dijon from 1958 to 1961.
Teacher at the Ecole Municipale des Beaux-arts de Beaune from 1951 to 1991; taught ceramics for fifteen years, then painting and sculpture until his retirement.
Member of the European Cultural Society of Venice.
