This Mid-Century Brass Wrapped Tapered Mirror W/Rounded Corners originates from Italy, Circa 1950. Features a curvilinear heraldic shield form profile with raised & rounded top corners, well proportioned and rendered in remarkably high quality materials. The brass border hugs the interior panel of glass seamlessly. The border being slightly rounded lends this minimal element a softened and sculptural feel, beautifully polished to reflect simultaneously with the mirror. Referencing classical forms but with a minimal geometry and carefully considered scale, this piece exemplifies the design characteristics and material usage of Mid-Century Modernist craft.
