Bethesda Fountain Dancing Waters in Central Park - Monochromatic Color
-
Description
Dancing waters flow down from the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. The water forms an energized abstract pattern in a monochromatic color scheme. Mitchell Funk's use of backlighting and cropped composition accomplishes this lyrical abstraction of water. The astute observer will notice charming Nineteenth-Century bronze putti emerging from the base of the fountain giving the image depth and mystery.
