Description
Mid-century cylindrical sofa, a masterpiece from Brazil circa 1970 by an unknown designer. The sofa features a unique hammock-like structure crafted from connected wooden slats, supporting 12 loose roll cushions held by black natural leather straps and fixed with elegant rosewood plugs. The structure, made from upholstered plywood, is covered in luxurious similicuir. Acquired at an auction in Rio de Janeiro in 2023, this piece has been meticulously restored. The original foam cushions were cleaned and re-plumped, while the leather straps were replaced and the wooden plugs refreshed. Matching armchairs are available to complete the set.
