    This is a pair of 20th century vintage American eagle bookends. The eagles are depicted with widely spread wings and arched heads, turned to the side. They are rendered in a Federal style, with a black base and gold stars on the bottom. This pair of Borghese eagle bookends are similar to those seen on the Oval Office desk of John F. Kennedy during his presidency.

    CONDITION:

    Overall good condition considering age. The gold paint on the eagles is has some light scuffs. Small chip to the end of one eagle's beak. Felt bottom, flat back with a stabilizing stand.

    Dimensions: 8 1/4" H x 5 3/4" W x 5 3/4" D (each).

    Accompanied by our company's letter of authenticity.
