An exceptionally large pair of ormolu mounted cut-glass candelabra. The round plinth bases with lion paw feet, surmounted with pillar and file cut stem. Divided with ormolu bands issuing branches supporting corresponding pillar and file cut drip pans, candle nozzles hung with triple cut spangles and multi faceted rule drops.

A drawing for similar candelabra by Blades is preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum London A similar set of four candelabra was commissioned by the King of Persia another set is in the collection of the Sultan of Brunei.
