Andrei Petrov (b. 1966) is a dynamic contemporary artist based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Growing up in New York City, he was profoundly influenced by his uncle, Dimitri Petrov, a renowned DADA Surrealist painter, and his father, a talented set designer. These early artistic experiences ignited his passion for creativity and led him to study at LaGuardia High School for Music and Art, as well as at SUNY Purchase and New Paltz.
Andrei's studio in Brooklyn has been his creative sanctuary for many years, where he produces vibrant paintings that resonate with viewers around the globe. His work is featured in various film and television productions, showcasing its universal appeal.
His impressive exhibition history spans major cities, including New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, New Mexico, Boston, Telluride, Houston, Hamburg, and Florida. Andrei’s art is part of prestigious collections, including those at The Four Seasons Hotel, The Fairmont Hotel, Hotel Plaza Athenee, Conrad Miami, La Terranea in Los Angeles, and the Segal Corporation.
In 2016, he was honored as the Visual Artist at the esteemed Music@Menlo Festival in Silicon Valley, California, further establishing his presence in the contemporary art scene.
