Description
Extraordinary, old restored 19th century nutwood chest of drawers from the capital city of Biedermeier furniture: Vienna - Austria. Impressing with an outstanding looking grain, this beautiful antique Biedermeier commode from around 1830 provides four large drawers (all locks are still there but unforutnately the key is missing) which offer a lot of storage room. The fine burl walnut veneer on the drawers front has been set in an absolute beautiful manner to make it look like it is running down from top to the bottom like a waterfall without any interruption. A special highlight on this unique Biedermeier chest of drawers are the artfully shaped half rods at the bottom of each drawer. Beautifully crafted brass applications and the traditional hand-polished shellac finish finalize the fantastic look of this remarkable 19th century Austrian Biedermeier chest of drawers, coming in great old restored, cleaned condition.
