Apache tray with geometric designs
9 3/4" diameter x 1 1/4" high
made out of willow and devil's claw
circa 1900-1920s
very good condition, with some missing stitches on the rim

This Apache tray has a very interesting design, starting with the traditional black center and then expanding outward in a concentric circle that has alternating lined trapezoids, bounded by a black line and then expanding further with truncated trapezoidal forms. The rim is woven out of willow. -
