Artist Duo: Cecilia Thibes & Fernanda Dabus

Cecilia Thibes and Fernanda Dabus form a dynamic artist duo, blending their unique backgrounds and artistic visions to create deeply emotive works.
Fernanda, originally from Santa Maria, Brazil, has been living in the United States since 2000. Her journey into the arts began with dance and music, later intertwining with her studies in psychology and psychoanalysis. Art became a vital outlet for her to navigate and express her emotions and relationships. Embracing the power of color and energy, Fernanda translates her personal experiences onto canvas, inviting viewers to explore the myriad feelings embedded in her work.
Cecilia, born in Paraná, Brazil, has long been captivated by the essence of art and its endless possibilities. After spending time in Europe, she returned to Brazil and engaged in advanced training programs in the Anthroposophical Artistic field. Her studio is not only a space for her painting but also a thriving center for art therapy and education. Here, Cecilia cultivates her permanent collection while fostering creativity in others.
Together, Cecilia and Fernanda create art that reflects their shared journey of exploration and expression. Their collaborative process emphasizes composition and the innovative use of diverse materials. Each piece is a visual exploration of color, inviting questions about the role of art in expressing the complexity of human experiences. Through their work, they aim to connect with viewers, encouraging reflection on the emotions that unite us all.
