This writing table, a true gem designed by Gio Ponti, dates back to the 1940s and is an extraordinary example of Italian design. Its crescent shape is accentuated by a balanced arrangement of geometric elements, giving the piece a timeless elegance. Made of walnut and grissinato mahogany, the front stands out with an enchanting series of carved horizontal lines that enhance its refinement.
On either side of the table, two welcoming compartments, each equipped with three practical drawers, offer ample space for storing items. The generously sized work surface is adorned with a transparent glass top, allowing one to discover the refined square covering underneath. A particularly charming feature is the visible niches along the sides, which harmoniously integrate with the overall architectural aesthetic, making this desk not only functional but also a true piece of art to admire.
Its bookcase is also available and is currently being restored.
