  • Description
This panther table is a prime example of the whimsy and ingenuity of Judy McKie’s furniture design. The panthers are characterized by red and white details painted into their faces, a feature rarely seen in other examples of this table. McKie attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated in 1966. Along with contemporaries like

Wendell Castle and Joyce Anderson, McKie is considered an influential force in American studio furniture making. Her work is included in the collections of prominent institutions such as the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Rhode Island School of Design and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
