French 19th Century Chestnut & Oak Enfilade
-
Description
This French oak & chestnut enfilade is a substantial piece to anchor any room, at over six feet long and more than three feet tall. Transitional in style, it favors clean lines to allow the rich wood tones and handsome grain patterns to speak for themselves. A row of three shallow drawers fits discreetly in the frieze below the plank top, locking independently and sharing a key. Below the drawers are three paneled doors. The left door and center door open together by a working lock (and key) as a wide compartment with a single shelf measuring 45 ½” W x 17 ½” D. The right door uses its own lock and key, opening to a compartment fitted with a shelf, 23 ¼” W x 17 ½”D. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique is ready for your immediate use.
