Description
This captivating pair of Swedish Gustavian style commodes is early 20th Century. Evoking the elegant charm of the Gustavian era, these commodes embody the quintessential characteristics of Swedish design with their refined details and timeless appeal. With three spacious drawers, these commodes offer both beauty and functionality. The brass ring pulls adorning the drawers not only provide a practical means of access but also add a touch of understated elegance to the overall design. One cannot help but admire the intricately horizontally carved reeded drawer fronts, reeding is a signature feature of the Gustavian style. Drawers have been remade. Adding to their visual appeal, the commodes feature canted corners that contribute to their graceful silhouette. Supported by tapered feet, these commodes exude a sense of lightness and sophistication, perfectly balancing form and function. The commodes feature dovetail with a later paint. 31.5"w x 16.25"d x 28.75"h
