Pair of exceptional tufted barrel back lounge chairs designed by Gio Ponti for Casa e Giardino in Italy, circa 1950s. These chairs feature a meticulously crafted tufted backrest and arms, exemplifying Ponti’s renowned mid-century design aesthetic. The legs are elegantly shaped in an organic style, made from stained wood, adding a distinctive character to the pieces. Please note that one leg is missing its brass caster, which can be easily replaced. These chairs would serve as a striking addition to any sophisticated interior or mid-century modern collection. Newly upholstered in a neutral brushed linen fabric.
