We present this imposing antique Italian chest of drawers dating back to the second half of the 17th century Baroque period, Louis XIV. An extremely refined chest of drawers, its features lead us to suppose that it was made in the cabinet-making workshops of northern Italy.
Made of fine light-toned walnut wood and characterised by an elegant and elaborate inlaid decoration in the wood that enriches each side of this chest of drawers. The decoration is of clear Baroque taste with wavy lines, curls and volutes. Extremely particular is the contrast with the black ebonised wood frames that highlight the inlaid decoration. A chest of drawers with good capacity, equipped with four large drawers of which the first opens on the front with a flap becoming a surface that can be used for quick writing or consultation of documents and inside it hides five other small drawers that can contain small objects. The chest of drawers is in excellent condition with all the original hardware (handles, locks, nails, etc.) and a single key. The inside of the three drawers is lined with elegant yellow fabric (the fabric may have small traces of wear, but you can decide to replace it).
Such an imposing chest of drawers is certainly a work of art of cabinetmaking that will be admired by all your guests. We can arrange shipping worldwide do not hesitate to contact us for more information. -
