Description
Marc Newson's Chair for Cappellini, Italy 1993
This chair is made from a single piece of reinforced fiberglass, which is bent and molded to create the desired structure, achieving a sculptural and suspended expression in the armchair. The body is available with a high-gloss lacquer finish in white and a polished aluminum rear leg provides additional support.
The chair is a vibrant expression of material and design, featuring an ergonomic shape that captures attention. Its concept is inspired by Marc Newson's interest in the felt work of German artist Joseph Beuys and the durable, practical qualities of this material, especially when folded.
