This impressive antique English console table, crafted from richly grained oak wood with a marble top, exudes continental elegance and meticulous craftsmanship. Made in the early to mid-19th century, this piece features intricate hand-carved detailing along the front molding and rests on six elegantly carved, tapered feet. The rectangular top has an oval-cornered design and is crowned by a beautifully detailed finial at the stretcher, connecting the four front legs with the two rear supports, enhancing its stately presence.
In good antique condition with wear appropriate for its age, the marble top has been expertly repaired, showing minor chips and nips that add to its character and authenticity. With its generous dimensions—37 1/3 inches in height, 85 inches in length, and 22 1/2 inches in depth—this console table serves as a functional and visually stunning focal point in any entryway, dining room, or living area, bringing historical charm and warmth to any decor. -
