Large Arthur Umanoff Welded Steel & Leather 60-Bottle Wine Rack, 1950s, USA
-
Description
Designed and made by Arthur Umanoff, this wine rack is one of the largest available, holding a massive 60 bottles. This USA made piece is made well enough to easily hold this weight and more, being made of welded solid steel square rods. It features thick leather straps to hold each bottle, and additional welded steel cross-bars in the rear to prevent bottles from falling out the back and to provide additional support. This rack provides a look that is simultaneously rustic and modern and warm. Thus, it fits into nearly any space.
In good vintage condition. Many of these racks have distressed or damaged straps. Not this one. These are all sturdy and solid. No broken welds, no significant oxidation. This rack is easily ready for another generation of use. -
