-
Description
This is a beautifully carved Louis XV Bergeres a Oreilles that dates to the 3rd quarter of the 18th century. The chair is in remarkably good condition considering its 250 years of existence. The oak frame is finely carved with detailed roses and sinuous lines and legs. The carved top rail wraps around into the wing section with a carved flower at the rounded corner. The skirt is detailed with a central carved floral reserve. The bergere is newly upholstered in a gray-blue fine English men's wool suiting which brings the feminine curves of the Louis XV aesthetic to a strong masculine presence. The goose down and feather cushion ensures that the bergere is super comfortable.
