Franco Albini & Franca Helg Table Lamp mod. 524 for Arteluce

$ 10,000
  • Description
    Franco Albini lived in Milan where he studied Architecture at the Politecnico. He started his career at Gio Ponti's studio, with whom he collaborated before getting in touch with some more international realities. But it's when he met Edoardo Persico, that his work became more rationalist. The new phase that that meeting provoked began with the opening of the first professional studio on Panizza Street with Renato Camus and Giancarlo Palanti.
    But it is above all in the context of exhibitions that the Milanese master experiments with his compromise between that "rigor and poetic imagination" of which Pagano spoke, coining the elements that will be a recurring theme in all declinations of his work - architectures, interiors, design pieces.
    Here we have this particular table lamp mod. 524 designed by Franco Albini in collaboration with Franca Helg, produced by Arteluce in 1963. It has brass structure with plexiglass diffusers.
    Fully original and in very good condition.

    We can rewire the light system to US standards upon request.
