English 19th Century Painted Work Table-Chest
-
Description
This 19th century English industrial work table or workbench has plenty of storage. Oak planks of the top surface show tactile patina throughout, marks left by the labors of those who stood before this original “standing desk,” notably some creative repairs using square pegs to fill several large holes in the grain. Presented in an aged blue paint over pine construction, two deep drawers slide easily out by proportionately large metal handles, sitting over an open compartment at the bottom. A wonderful size to be of great utility as an unusual kitchen island, in a craft room, or gardening shed. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this rustic work table is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images.
