Description
This dynamic and eye catching Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Mottled Murano Glass Sconces W/ Turquoise & Citrine Swirl Detail by Mazzega originates from Italy, Circa 1970. They feature rectilinear frames in polished nickel that support the glass in each corner with spherical nickel hardware. The glass shades are square and rendered in mottled translucent glass, with swirls of turquoise blue and citrine yellow in the center. A flower-petal effect is created by blending each hue of the glass while still hot on the surface, creating a vibrant mixed green in the center of each sconce. A lovely pair characteristic of the materials and design motifs of Mazzega, these sconces will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, these sconces accommodate 4 candelabra base bulbs, achieving up to 240 watts of light each. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
