Description
This exquisite Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Bullicante Glass Sconces W/Brass Fittings by Barovier & Toso originates from Italy, Circa 1950. Carefully scaled, this pair features stunning rippled transparent glass along either side of the shades, with a gorgeous bullicante texture in the body of the glass. Achieved through numerous bubbles embedded within the glass, the light from the bulbs glitters and reflects beautifully. Supported by a brass frame and backplate which attaches the sconces to the wall. A brilliant balance of materials and an excellent example of the motifs and characteristics of Mid-Century Modernist design, these sconces will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, each sconce accommodates one candelabra base bulb achieving up to 60 watts of light per sconce. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
