Elegant portrait painting from the end of the 19th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a beautiful woman in oriental clothes from the Belle Époque. Painting signed by the English painter Walter Herbert Roe and dated 1898, lacking authentication. Painting of notable pictorial quality, of particular note is the creation of the architectural elements in the background with details of orientalist taste of great charm. 20th century frame in carved, lacquered and gilded wood, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and repainting in small spots. Overall in excellent condition. Internal size H 183 x W 106 cm.
