    A pair of antique Japanese Early Meiji period vases, characterized by their oval shape tapering downward, mounted on stems, and adorned with matching covers. The surfaces of these vases feature intricate cloisonne enamel work showcasing a dragon motif. The dragon motif, often symbolizing strength and good fortune in Japanese culture, adds both symbolism and artistic elegance to these vases. Circa the 1870s or the 1880s.
