A Rare Original West Country Blue Painted Settle
-
Description
A very rare blue painted settle. A curved bench seat known as a settle having a traditional clapboarded high back to block out drafts, splayed back skirt, shaped winged sides, and a bench seat with a central bracket support. Originally found in a West Country tavern. Equally attractive when viewed from the back as from the front. Retaining traces of original blue paint - very hard to find in original paint, especially blue.
