Important circular dining table designed and produced in Paris, France by Maison Gouffé, circa 1930s. Gouffe is a very highly regarded Faubourg Saint-Antoine Paris furniture manufacturer - largely famous for training and manufacturing French cabinetmaker, Jean Royere.
This finely crafted table has been fully refinished in a high gloss black lacquer. Original bronze detail decorates the apron and legs. The table is circular in form and becomes an oval as it is fit with three insertable leaves. On the undercarriage is the original GOUFFE manufacturer plaque. A truly fantastic quality French dining table in the Directoire and Hollywood Regency style.
