Description
Louis XVI, Wall Mirrors, Giltwood, Antiqued Mirror, Fruitewood Motif 20th C.
This pair of Louis XVI-style wall console/pier mirrors, dating from the 19th or early 20th century, features exquisite carved and painted detailing. Crafted from polychrome gesso and wood, each mirror is adorned with intricate floral and fruit motifs, including a basket of flowers at the top that gracefully flows along the frame. These palatial mirrors, though showcasing some old repairs and requiring attention, remain a stunning example of neoclassical craftsmanship.
