English 19th Century Mahogany Secretary
-
Description
A robust mahogany secrétaire made in England, circa 1820. The secretary’s upper body features glass front doors in an arched window formation, opened by a working lock and key. Inside are three adjustable shelves at 9 ½” deep. What appears to be a drawer with two large, turned wood knobs converts to a drop front desk, offering multiple storage compartments: one large niche and center and two small slots, surrounded by six drawers. Two additional secret drawers are hidden above the smaller niches. The lower body offers a single, adjustable shelf behind doors in stunning flamed mahogany, with working lock & key. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this timeless secretary desk is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images.
