-
Description
Exceptional crafted rustic Black Forest wall mirror from the period around 1880 in Germany. Artfully hand carved out of basswood, this fantastic rural mirror impresses with its elaborately made frame in the style of tree branches with slightly protruding corners and amazing looking gilt bars on the inside which build an amazing contrast to the very dark brown, almost black looking surface. Another highlight is the great looking carving on the top center depicting lovely ivy leaves. A truly beautiful and unusual designed late 19th century Black Forest mirror, spreading this unique rustic charm.
