Description
Rare Large "Tower of Babel" painting in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with vibrant enamel cloisonne, colorful hand-painted enamels and unique engraved frame by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on front). This was done as part of a special Collectors Edition framed in the Kuan motif of interlocking circles, which is meant to evoke something from the past. The depth and quality of the enamel cloisonne against the rich dark patina of the bronze and pewter is absolutely stunning.
