De Sede DS600 'Snake' in patinated brown Leather, Switzerland, 1970's
-
Description
This De Sede DS-600 sectional sofa, affectionately known as "The Snake" or "Der Tatzelwurm," is a testament to iconic design and Swiss craftsmanship. Comprising 13 modular pieces, including two end sections, this sofa offers a guaranteed spectacle for the eye. The luxurious brown leather is in sublime condition, exhibiting a rich and textured patina that adds remarkable character to its crazy shape. The sofa sits very comfortably, I can tell you from experience!
Every detail of this sofa speaks of quality—all zippers and pins function flawlessly, ensuring that the individual sections can be easily installed and transported. De Sede is celebrated not only for its innovative designs but also for the outstanding quality of its Swiss leather, and this piece exemplifies that reputation. The sofa’s supple leather has gracefully aged, showing no rips or tears, only the natural wear that enhances its appeal.
The sofa has been fully cleaned, all zippers and pins are working smoothly, it smells very fresh (!), has great patina and is ready to go. Two / three weeks delivery time to the US if I can arrange the transport. -
