Pair of Vintage Oversized Tessellated Stone Jax / Jacks Sculptures or Bookends

Set of two Hollywood Regency-Style jax/jacks sculptures composed of tessellated stone - one black, one beige, made for the Marquis Collection of Beverly Hills (Philippines, ca. late 1980s/early 1990s).
Jacks, popular decorative objects given their unique shapes, are most commonly found in cast iron or metal. These examples are extraordinary given the luxurious material employed and relatively large scale (H: 7.75" x L: 10.75" x D: 9").
Excellent vintage condition free of damage; lines are naturally occurring within the stone itself.
Retains the Marquis Collection foil label.
