Pair of Estate Made Yew and Elm Windsor Armchairs
-
Description
Attractive and unusual pair of Windsor armchairs, the low bows above continuous bent yew wood arms, over elmwood saddled seats on turned padfoot legs joined by crinoline stretchers, both showing great wear and old "make do" repairs including brass patches to several joints which add rather than detract from their charm. Nice mellow honey colored patina. England circa 1760.
