Edward Lintott
"Still Life with Pitcher and Fruit," oil on canvas by Edward Barnard Lintott, (British 1875-1951) Signed "Lintott" lower right.
Edward Barnard Lintott was born in London in 1875, studied art at the Academie Julian, Paris under Jean Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant, and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts under M.E. Cuyer. He had one man exhibitions in several museums as well as with leading dealers in New York. His work is represented in 16 museums among them The Louvre, The British Museum, Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Ghent Museum, Belgium, The Metropolitan Museum and The Brooklyn Museum.
