Oxen Pulling a Cart
American, probably western states, early 20th c.
Steer horn, twine.
Excellent condition considering material
Provenance: Mayer Collection, New York.
Purchased fr om George Schoellkopf, 1978.
As described by Robert Bishop, “It is most unusual to find a sculpture made of this material”. a great “one off” piece of American folk art.
