Cees Braakman KU14 wardrobe in birch Pastoe The Netherlands 1958
-
Description
Minimalist wardrobe model KU14 from the “Japanese Series” designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, The Netherlands 1958. This beautiful wardrobe is executed in birch wood, very rare because normally you only see them in teak.
It has two large doors with a folding mechanism and an original white flip-up door with the typical black plastic handles. The interior has five shelves, a rod to hang your clothes, a mirror, a hanging rack and a ladder for smaller items. It rests on a black lacquered metal frame.
This model exemplifies Braakman's commitment to blending form with function, using simple yet high-quality materials to create durable and visually appealing furniture. Marked with a metal “Pastoe” tag inside of a drawer. Striking Dutch design from the fifties.
This magnificent wardrobe is in very good condition with normal wear due time and usage. A real nice catch in any modern home, office or interior. -
