Set of eight Chiavari chairs in lacquered beechwood with Indian cane seat, “Tre Stecche” model, in the exclusive “Santa Margherita” green color
The “Tre Stecche” model, presented here, derives its name from the distinctive design of its backrest, featuring three horizontal wooden slats. First produced in the late 1940s, this model has proven to be exceptionally versatile, seamlessly integrating into a wide variety of living spaces and interior design styles. Its design has been celebrated by renowned and avant-garde architects and has frequently appeared in Domus magazine, often complementing interiors designed by Marco Zanuso.
The presented set has undergone complete restoration, both in its wooden structure and its finish. The chosen finish is the “Santa Margherita” green, a rich matte olive hue evoking the land and sea of Liguria’s unique landscape. The seat, handwoven in Indian cane, provides a subtle yet elegant contrast to the warm green tone of the wood.
This set of chairs is well-suited to domestic environments, such as a large dining table, as well as public spaces, including bars and restaurants, where finely crafted artisan pieces with sophisticated designs are meant to stand out.
The production of these chairs is tied to the historic SAC (Sedie Artistiche Chiavari) label, a manufacturer that, although no longer in operation, holds a significant place in the history of the iconic Chiavari lightweight chair, thanks to the quality and elegance of its models. Today, these chairs are highly sought after by interior designers and collectors.
