French 19th Century Solid Walnut Server
-
Description
Dimensions: 29 ½” H x 57 ½” W x 17 ⅜” D
A French country house server from the 19th century crafted in walnut with abundant rustic charm. The planks of the top surface show knots and wavy grain texture–well patinated from nearly two centuries of use–framed by breadboard ends. One shallow drawer at the center of the apron opens with a small turned knob. Four square legs gradually taper to the floor, connected by a wide stretcher for additional storage or display. The rear legs are also braced with an additional stretcher across the back. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax and ready to join your interior, this sturdy console would be of great practicality in nearly any room. Please view the detailed images. -
