French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Mahogany Center Table
-
Description
Dimensions: 32 ⅞” H x 63” W x 25 ¾” D
A spectacular French mid-19th century Louis XVI style mahogany and marble center table. The rectangular frame is crowned with a slab of Calacatta type marble in ethereal veining of green, gold, and burgundy swirled in the creamy white stone. Each side of the apron is animated by linear ormolu in an exotic motif alternating between rococo shells and stylized foliate design. The table is raised by bowed, solid wood legs mounted with brass dagger leaf capitals and sabots to reiterate the Neoclassical influence, braced by a low stretcher. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this impressive centerpiece is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images. -
