This impressive flower tree model, crafted from an assortment of hardstones, stands as a remarkable example of 20th century Chinese artistry.

The model is adorned with a variety of flowers, including chrysanthemums carved from vibrant orange agate. Smaller blossoms are crafted from other types of agate, while the tiniest flowers are delicately made from quartz. The stigmas are represented by yellow and orange beads, which add a striking burst of colour to each bloom. Large, deep green nephrite leaves are skilfully carved and positioned between the flowers, while finer, lighter green leaves complement the arrangement.

The floral arrangement extends from a cloisonné enamel planter, decorated with intricate floral and swirling motifs. The contrasting greens and yellows stand out vividly against the dark blue background. The rim and base of the planter are highlighted with gilt accents.
