Hollywood Regency Gilt Iron Rope & Tassel Vanity Stool in Chic Leopard Velvet
-
Description
1960s Italian gilt iron rope and tassel Hollywood Regency stool fully professionally restored with new leopard velvet upholstery and seat cushion. Incredibly sturdy and impressively well made of iron, this Napoleon III style rope and tassel stool was likely made by Italian designer Niccolini but is unmarked as were most of his pieces. The sort of rope and tassel furniture that the mother of Hollywood Regency style Dorothy Draper adored and installed in her most celebrated design projects. This Italian stool has been cared for well since 1960. Its iron frame is sturdy and maintains its original well preserved gilt finish. The leopard velvet fabric compliments the golden frame well with sultry tones and organic forms that add depth. Black piping frames the leopard velvet like and pill box hat and highlights the black points in the fabric and iron frame. Perfect choice for use as a vanity stool or for strapping on those designer shoes in that large sexy walk in closet. A dose of daily glamour.
