Folke Jansson 'Tellus' Armchair, SM Wincrantz, Skövde, Sweden, 1950s

$ 4,900
  • Description
    This rare armchair was designed by Folke Jansson in 1956. The model, named Tellus, was produced by S.M. Wincrantz Möbelindustri in Skövde, Sweden. The chair retains its original manufacturer label on the underside of the seat.

    The design is characterized by elegant, curved lines that define the upholstered frame. The interior of the shell features buttoned details on the backrest and sides, adding a refined touch. The striking, tapered legs are crafted from solid beech wood and are angled to create a dynamic silhouette. Each leg is finished with a sphere-shaped brass foot. The chair is upholstered in a gray wool fabric.

    The chair is in overall good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use.
