A set of six beautiful and sizable ceiling lamps model 61-314 in perforated solid brass, designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and manufactured by Orno Oy in Finland in the 1950s. The lamps have a distinct and different perforation pattern close to the outer rim rather than the standard clustered one seen in the Orno catalouge. Due to their big size and elegant minimalistic design these lamps will surely stand out in any interior. All lamps feature a beautiful dark patina. The lamps are in beautiful vintage condition.
Note that the height can vary depending on the customers wishes. As the light fixtures are hanging from the electric cord, which can be extended or shortened.
Lisa Johansson-Papé (1907-1989) was a Finnish designer best known for her works in lighting. She paid more attention to the function of the lamp firstly, then the design feature secondly. Lisa designed furniture for Stockmann for a number of years, after which she turned her attention to lamps, also at the Stockman owned company Orno Oy. She won a number of medals for her lighting designs in the Milan Triennials in the 1950s.
