Description
Stunning gilt 19th century Florentine wall mirror from the period around 1810 in Austria. Arftully handcarved out of softwood, this large mirror was part of the inventory of a small private owned castle. The elaborate crafted broad "Florentine style" frame impresses with its gorgeous looking carvings showing beautiful acanthus leaves. The inner part of the frame is additionally adorned by a tied leaf wreath. A real fantastic example of an Austrian Florentine mirror from the early 19th century. With an age of over 210 years, this remarkable gilt antique oval wall mirror comes in great condition with a charming patina, still showing the original mirror plate. The backside is closed with wooden boards and a metal ring makes wall mounting easy.
