Louis XV Style, Refinished Commode or Chest of Drawers, Kingwood Inlay, Bronze, Marble, France, 19th C.
A breathtaking French commode chest, featuring exquisite all-over parquetry inlays. The piece is designed with two large center drawers, each flanked by a dore bronze border, and a smaller drawer above, also bordered by matching dore bronze accents. The commode is crowned with a luxurious Breccia d’Alep marble top. This exceptional piece, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, has been meticulously restored to its original splendor. The whole in the manner of Francois Linke. One of a very compatible pair of chests.
